Experience and Education
Since 1986, I have been providing custom database application solutions, data extraction services and support to a wide variety of businesses, primarily in the Chicago metropolitan area but also nationwide utilizing the Internet. The support has been from creation of new solutions to the maintenance of existing systems. The most important lessons learned in the consulting business have been to listen to client, to identify what the client really wants and needs, deliver what you promise on-time and on-budget and never make commitments that can not be kept.

Since we began using Special Order System written in Visual FoxPro, we have saved countless hours in data entry, approximately 2-3 hours per day. After Tom recommended adding Crystal Reports, our customer orders have become so streamlined, we have lowered our mistakes by 75%. What I haven't said is how much we really enjoy using the system. We live and breathe from the information held within this system. Our business relies on us being able to process the imports &instruments for resale, as well as staying in compliance with the Securityestablished by Federal. State and US Customs authorities. The information we gather, the instructions we send, are all documents we keep as part of our compliance files in the event of an audit.
The way that everything is on one screen is probably the single best feature of the system. We can efficiently do our importing and transportation without the need of going to different menus, batch files, etc.we did in Paradox. The instant ability to being able to print the required documents without searching for thema batch listsimplyspeeds our process up, making the functions much more efficient.
I feel that you took the time and heard what we had to say pertaining to our specific business process and needs.doing so, you built us a product that virtually does not affect our daily process negatively and instead adds some streamline functionality to making the process even more efficient. We are currently using the system today as if we have been using it for years...the transition from Paradox to the New Traffic Management System seems to be seamless.... We have also received comments on how the new forms look and all have been very positive.
As with all new products, there are always some issues that need to be resolved. I will continue to add to the list anything that comes up. I am extremely confident that once we fine tune the system addressing the issues at hand, and determine what type of report functionality we will require for the future, we will have a outstanding software program for years to come!!!
